About

A small studio in Delhi, building tools that earn their keep.

The story

Why we started.

Vaibhav started Holani & Company while finishing a CS degree at the University of Toronto. Back home in Delhi every break, the same pattern kept showing up — family businesses, neighbours' businesses, friends' businesses, all running on Tally and Excel and WhatsApp voice notes, and all losing real hours every week to paperwork that software should have eaten years ago.

The bigger Indian SaaS world wasn't going to help. It was busy chasing the unicorn buyer. The textbook tools weren't designed for a Chandni Chowk trader who keeps stock in his head, or a furniture brand processing thousands of government tenders a week.

So we started building specifically for them. Real businesses, real workflows, real software that fits.

How we work

A few principles we keep coming back to.

Ship the smallest useful thing first.

Big multi-month builds are how software dies in private. We earn the right to build more by putting the first useful slice in the client's hands fast, then iterating with their actual feedback in the room.

Design for the person actually using it.

Most Indian-business software is built for the person buying it, not the person using it. A dashboard with twelve sidebar items and forty-seven settings is a tool the buyer feels smart about and the user quietly abandons. We design for the abandoners.

AI where it earns its keep.

Not for the deck. Not because it sounds good. We use AI in our products where it removes real work — invoice extraction, vendor-item mapping, tender relevance — and we use boring deterministic code everywhere else.

Talk to the client. Always.

We don't put a project manager between us and the people who depend on the software. Engineers talk to clients. Demos run weekly. If something's broken, we hear it within hours, not at the end of a sprint.

"There's a generation of Indian businesses that the textbook tools have given up on. We didn't. That's the whole thing." — Vaibhav Holani, founder
The team

Small. Growing.

The founding team is small enough that we still know every commit, every client conversation, and every late-night production bug by name.

We're hiring our first senior engineer right now — see careers. After that, two or three more builders through 2026, depending on how fast our clients keep growing.

If you build software for a living and the work above sounds like the kind of work you'd want to do, we'd love to hear from you — whether or not we have a role open today.
